During the arrival and departure of children at your setting, how many times a day are you and your staff asked by parents about the meals their children have been given during the day and the times when they have eaten? Even in small settings answering these questions can pose a distraction when you need to be alert to the events around you and in larger settings your staff may be having to give the same answers many times over.
To help reduce the time spent answering these questions we are pleased to introduce a new range of three Menu Chalk Boards. Suitable for use in all types of childcare settings from childminders providing a simple mid morning snack to full wrap-a-round care providers offering Breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea there is a ready made solution for you.
Options include a free style design ideal for use in single session settings (333021) where only one food break is provided and the time for this is normally fixed
333022 is designed for use in settings where sessions are held in the mornings and afternoons and 333023 is designed for use full day care settings where breakfast is also provided. Both 333022 &333023 include pre-printed blank clock faces to allow you to add the times for each meal break.
Simply chalk in the times and details of the meals to be provided for the coming day and display the menu for parents and children to see.
In addition to providing information for parents the boards are a great way of involving children in discussions about food and healthy eating. The addition of the clock faces mean that they can also be used to teach children to tell the time.
Manufactured using the same high quality foamex board and weather proof inks as our outdoor learning boards, the 1000mm x 700mm boards allow ample room to write your menu in and can be mounted indoors or outside if required. Due to the light weight of the boards they can be fixed using velcro pads (not supplied) which allow easy removal for daily cleaning and changing of menus.
